We are stoked to feature a mix by the finest bass (and not only!) music specialist on Earth we know – the one and only NEW.COM aka Marius Neukom from Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2003, NEW.COM (pronounced “new-dot-com”) has been tirelessly running the brilliant series of Comfortnoise podcasts – featuring both his own mixes and shows with various guests, now counting about 100 issues – all generously available at www.comfortnoise.com.
The axis of the show has always been “advanced dubwise electronic music” in its wide sense – dub/step/techno of all shades, but with possible expansions and diversions. Some Latvian selectors have been guests as well; in turn, NEW.COM himself visited Riga a few times, playing Space:Garage, KKC and Kometa festival – so the relationship with Riga has been lasting for more than a decade.
Recently, a new page has been turned in the history of Comfortnoise – the label has been established: comfortnoise.bandcamp.com. com01 is out, com02 is hitting the shops in February (but both are already in stock at Biit Me Riga: biit.me/label/comfortnoise/) and com03 is scheduled for April (one of its tracks is included in this Biitcast).
