whenever I think of yen, a shark comes to my mind. a shark that was caught last summer by our friend moni (aka man pikin) while he was taking a shaky sleep on a small fishing boat on the other side of the golden gate bridge. secondly I remember a couple of meetings in clubs and bars of san francisco in 2007, where yen and I vividly discussed actual currents of electronic music. thirdly a sound from 2006 comes up: a deadly cool remix of a track from iroro (aka ruoho ruotsi) by a certain “klmn” (listen to it from minute 21 in the show). …it literally took me a couple of years to bring yen and klmn (radioklmn – discogs – myspace) together. the greater it is to have him in our radio show this month! enjoy his fully developed definition of “detroit”: primarily in the interview and then – what a piece of music!
