it’s of course not a coincidence that the kind of dubtechno we feature since a couple of years, remains in a permanent revival. although the common sound of the refreshing dubstep movement is rough, loud and barely subtle, london’s highly skilled new generation of producers is obviously inspired by the deepness and inexhaustibility of dubtechno. not only that the kids are discovering the still available blueprints released on basic channel (basicchannel.com) – they also form a brilliant branch inside dubstep that is seriously related to dubtechno. on the base of the lowest frequencies, they frequently use melodies and voices; reduced to a minimum, their tracks open infinite spaces. in “comfortnoise podcast 002-1109”, new.com is welcoming you there… probably best to enjoy on car rides through entire nights.
